Larry Rosenstrauch to Replace Bill Badger as Chair of Regional Economic Development Committee  

February 9, 2006; Washington, DC – Larry Rosenstrauch, Director, Loudoun County Department of Economic Development, will serve as Chair of the Greater Washington Initiative’s Area Business Development Officials Committee (ABDOC) for the remainder of 2006. Rosenstrauch steps in as Chair following the announcement of Bill Badger’s resignation from the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corp. Kwasi Holman, President, Prince George’s Economic Development Corp. was named Vice Chair. ABDOC is a group of local, senior economic development executives.

"GWI does a terrific job positioning the region as an ideal location for business," Rosenstrauch said. "I am honored to serve as chair of ABDOC and I look forward to a busy, productive 2006."

Prior to joining the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development, Rosenstrauch served in similar positions with economic development organizations in Charlotte, NC, and New Orleans, LA.

As part of its ongoing collaborative work, ABDOC will host a reception with GWI as part of the FOSE 2006 trade event to connect key government contractors in the region with international technology firms. ABDOC will also help host a GWI tour for site location consultants in September.
