2007 Paris Air Show / Aerospace & Defense Industry Overview Release Did You Know? These are just a few highlights from the Greater Washington Initiative’s Aerospace Industry Overview, to be released at the Paris Air Show in June. The publication will feature a map with over 100 companies, military installations, government agencies, and R&D facilities involved in aerospace work, as well as data on federal defense spending and Greater Washington’s aerospace workforce. GWI’s Executive Director, Tim Priest, and April DuBois, Director of International Business Development, will host three exclusive events at the Paris Air Show highlighting the aerospace and defense assets in Greater Washington for companies seeking a presence in the area. The Honorable Michael Wynne, Secretary of the United States Air Force will keynote one of the events, to be moderated by Aviation Week’s Editorial Director Ed Hazelwood. Aviation Week (circulation 270,000 readers in 180 countries), the official press sponsor for the Paris Air Show, has agreed to cover GWI’s events at the show, as well as the launch of the Aerospace Industry Overview. C-level executives from top Washington-area aerospace defense contractors will discuss best practices for transatlantic aerospace defense business and highlight opportunities for procurement and partnership on both sides of the Atlantic.
