Tim Priest, April DuBois Promoted in GWI Business
Development Positions

Washington, DC; January 11, 2005–The Greater Washington Initiative (GWI) is pleased to announce that Tim Priest has been promoted to Vice President, Business Development and April DuBois has been promoted to Director, International Business Development.

Both Priest and DuBois have spent six and three years, respectively, carrying out GWI's program to attract companies to Greater Washington. Priest previously served as Director; DuBois as Sr. Manager. Their roles help provide firms with top notch, hands-on assistance when clients need help finding space, employees, service providers and advisors in the region.

Together they have implemented an innovative strategy of using seminars, conferences and forums to extend the reach of GWI and multiply its face-to-face marketing outreach. In the past year, they were instrumental in the opening of GWI’s new office in London to expand the organization’s outreach in the UK and Europe. As a result of their efforts, GWI is delivering the message about the opportunities in Greater Washington area to a significantly larger number of companies than in previous years. 

“Since Tim and April have been with GWI, the number of leads and prospects that we are generating has increased and so has awareness of our services,” said Thomas G. Morr, Managing Partner. “These promotions are well deserved and I look forward to continuing our business development outreach with these fine individuals.”

GWI’s three-pronged approach (business development, research, marketing) employs ten, full-time individuals and one consultant.
