30th January Conference in Zurich to Focus on How Swiss Technology Firms Can Win Contracts with the U.S. Government  

WASHINGTON , DC, 23 January 2006 – The Canton of Zurich, Greater Washington Initiative and World Cities Alliance will host a half-day panel discussion in  Zurich, on Monday, 30 January, on how small- and medium-sized Swiss technology companies can win contracts with the U.S. Government , the world's largest buyer of technology.  

U.S. Government spending on technology is projected to increase from €46.7 billion ($58 billion) in 2005 to €61.0 billion ($74 billion) in 2009, with more than half of this spending earmarked for the U.S. military and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Among the featured speakers will be Andre Wattenhofer, Chairman/CEO of Sunbay Software AG a Swiss-based software development firm. Headquartered in Rüschlikon, Switzerland, Sunbay Software has expanded worldwide, with Sales and Service Centers in Europe, the USA and the Pacific region. Other speakers will include:
