Greater Washington Initiative to Host Educational Sessions
at FOSE 2006
WASHINGTON , DC; March 6, 2006 – The Greater Washington Initiative (GWI), a regional economic development marketing organization for the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Suburban Maryland, will host a series of educational sessions at FOSE 2006. Speakers at the GWI sessions will include top U.S. and international business executives, U.S. government officials, business development specialists from the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada, and consultants specializing in government technology markets.
The sessions are designed to help attendees develop strategies for winning government contracts, learn who is currently purchasing IT services, establish a presence in Greater Washington, and discover what other leading U.S. Government contractors are looking for in their partners.
All GWI educational sessions will be held in Room 156 at the Washington Convention Center.
In addition to the sessions, GWI will host a reception on Wednesday, March 8 at 4:30 pm in room 146A for international companies attending the exhibition.
In an attempt to further analyze the growing Information Technology field, GWI published a study examining the Greater Washington region IT sector and its sub-clusters. It takes a critical look at strengths and challenges facing the industry and includes recommendations for consideration by business and government leaders.
