Greater Washington Initiative
To Host Department of Defense Conferences at 2006 Farnborough Air Show 

July 10, 2006 -- The Greater Washington Initiative ( GWI) will host a series of conferences on “Innovative Strategies for Doing Business with the U.S. Department of Defense” on 18 and 20 July 2006 at 1000-1300 at the Farnborough International Air Show.

The Farnborough Air Show, one of the world's largest, is organised by Farnborough International Ltd, a subsidiary of the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC). This year's show runs 17-23 July at the Farnborough Aerodrome in Hampshire and is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors. More than 1,300 exhibitors from 32 countries will participate.

Keynote speakers, Brigadier General Charles R. Davis, Deputy Program Executive Officer, Joint Strike Fighter Program and Hon. Kenneth Miller, Special Assistant for Acquisition Governance and Transparency to the Secretary of the U.S. Air Force will lead a discussion on Department of Defense technology acquisition on 18 July at 1000.
