Gwen Varndell Hired as New National Business Development Manager for GWI
December 27, 2004; Washington, DC – The Greater Washington Initiative (GWI) is pleased to announce its new National Business Development Manager, Gwen Varndell. As a program manager with GWI’s Business Development team, Gwen will plan and implement domestic marketing missions and assist hundreds of executives from across the U.S. in evaluating business opportunities in Greater Washington.
A native Virginian, Varndell most recently worked in business development for Enterprise Technology Partners, LLC, a minority-owned consulting firm in Reston, VA. Previously, she was with the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust, working in the organization’s Multifamily Investment Group and Portfolio Management Group. She is currently enrolled at Strayer University, in Arlington, VA and plans to graduate in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
