Virginia Rail Express
In 2003, over 3 million passengers rode Virginia Railway Express (VRE) trains, or approximately 16,000 daily riders to and from 18 stations. The system is among the top three fastest-growing commuter rail systems in the country and has grown by 16% annually for the past four years. For more info, visit www.vre.org.


Maryland Rail Commuter
Maryland ’s MARC trains service approximately 24,000 daily riders on 187 miles of track and 42 stations. Two train lines transport riders between Washington , DC and Baltimore , MD ; a third runs from the District to Martinsburg , WV . For more info, visit www.mtamaryland.com.
